Rainbow Nisha Rokubou No Shichinin is in my opinion a breath-taking series.

Story: For me theres two parts of the story the one where they try to survive in jail, guarded by a cowardly, awful guy with nothing but bromance to keep them going and the second half where they meet new challenges in life not particular int the same environment. The first half was amazing how they all try to stick together and in the world of the cruel having friends is a basic need otherwise what else can keep you going in that terrible jail cell. Though some parts can be cliche and have you going like seriously? it really teaches you how important friends are , how you depend on one another and how big of a need your sense of belonging is.
The second half is pretty much still about bromance though with them finding their dreams & goals also romance can come in between the way of friendship but in the bromance takes all. Rainbow had me crying on the second episode and to me was waay more meaningful then something like Clannad or Anohana though of course its just my humble opinion feel free to disagree.

Characters: I think the characters are the main reason i loved Rainbow in fact the characters are so important that they make up the story. Its all about how one interacts what they do and how they keep their brotherly bond together through the harsh environment. An-chan is the brother of the group like the alpha dog in a pack though of course they all are equal to one another. An-chan is the person who teaches them to not give up and to be strong. Mario and them of course helps and teach An-chan new things like friendship and love er in sorta homosexual way i guess but i just use the word bromance lol i really like that word. Each of the seven guys are very different and have different situations. One is smart, one is tall and strong, one is very kind, one is very small yet has a very big ego, one is the one who keeps the group together. Its so interesting seeing how all the different personalities work so well with each other.

Art : The art for me is very good, the one can be dull sometimes which matches perfectly with the dark, miserable , sad theme. The eyes aren't ridiculously huge and legs aren't tremendously long. The author does a very good job on drawing people that match with the personalities. Like if a person is very perverted & barbarous then they will look just like their personality

Soundtrack: I really liked the ost though sometimes you wonder where this sudden loud metal music came from without warning. The lyrics match the story very well. The themes are very sad and can express all the hardships these seven guys have gone through and easily sets the mood and atmosphere. It also shows a kind of determination and passion.

Enjoyment: i really enjoyed the series it kept me going one more episode, one more episode every night wanting them to get out of jail already and makes you wonder what would they do if they did. The characters backgrounds are very sad it makes you empathize and understand the characters more. Like i said before this series had me sobbing on the second episode.

Overall: I don't think I'll find a series very soon that gets me hooked right on episode one and has me sobbing so soon in the series mind that i've only cried for one other series in 50. Im warning you though there are some scenes that make me wanna gag also if you don't like anything sad, or if looking for comedy this series is not for you though give it a try you never know.
