This serie contains so incredibly much: a great plot, wonderfull characters, drama, love, action and philosophy.
There is a rather annoying downside to this serie, which is the ending. The serie leaves a couple of crucial questions unanswered and there is no proper closure when it comes to all of the characters except for the kids of Eureka.
Another small negative aspect (but really farely small compared to the ending) is that there is no information given considering the background of the crew of Gekkostate (only a couple of characters). Where did they come from, why are they on board of the Gekko, and what is their motivation to fight?
There is a movie of the series, but it does not answer any of the remaining questions, nor does it fill up the gap when it comes to closure.
So, a great above average serie with a bit of a disappointing ending, though not that bad that it ruines the serie. Basically the average anime serie ending in my experience.
