This comic... It's like it was made for me.
The Enigma of Amigara Fault is a bizarre and wonderful short story. It is short because that is the length of the story. All you need to know is rolled up into a concise ball. If you like horror manga than this is a title it would be a shame to skip. If you don't, then it might be a bit shocking, but certainly still worth the read.
The story itself is rather unique, which is saying something in a genre filled with the strange and the obscure. The art is beautifully detailed and the story flows with an even and consistent pace. Instead of resorting to blood and guts for shock value, this particular piece goes for concepts that bring to mind real fear. Something you may not have thought of, but that you still dread through the entire story.
Unlike many stories of this type, you can't just skip to the end and go "so that was it". The whole piece falls together like a well-fit puzzle and the gravity of the situation doesn't properly hit you unless you've started at the beginning and followed it to its rightful end.
