The art isn't the best. That isn't to say that it is the worst but it could stand improvement. The laughing was an amazing sound in the story and was truly terrifying.
What you do get to see that you don't get to see in other anime is what events do to cause characters to do this or that. You see events happen again and again with small changes that cause characters to react differently than they originally did.
