I don't get it,why i don't get is beacuse im trying to figure what was the point of elfen lied was it to gross me out or to make me laugh?
Elfen Lied is beyond disturbing it is sickening i consider myself to have a tolerance for gore but Elfen Lied takes the gore to new levels,with such vile violence and themes us pedophila there must be a complex story and characters right?
Story & Characters: Lucy a"Diclonius" a human selected by God that will eventually become the destruction of mankind escapes from a government laboratory decapitates security guard on her way.So good so far right?well the Lucy character is sheltered by Kohta and his cousin Yuka who finds her naked the three share somewhat lighter moment because the Lucy character aparently lost her memory she is rename Nyū because her baby like understanding of any or everything.Adjectives describe the main characters are annoying,stupid,slow,unatural,illogical.The author even tried in to mix in romance guess how that figured.
The Art: is good is done very well Backgrounds, Character Designs,CG exceptional.
The Sound: opening and closing song are very good very apropriate for the mood of this anime.
Overall Elfen Lied is major disapointment for me it had the ingridient to be great but the characters unatural reactions to certain situation,the authors persistance in trying to extract sympathy for characters destructive actions derails the destruction of mandkind plot instead all that is left is blood,guts and smiles.
