Fate/zero
To put it simply, Fate/Zero is a story that is all about a war between seven masters and their servants to attain the Holy Grail, an omnipotent wish-granting device. Now, I would like you to know that I have yet to watch Fate/Stay night so everything in this review will be purely about Fate/Zero only, without questioning how well the transition between the two stories is.

Story: Story-wise, Fate/Zero is interesting, but very linear. There were very little twists in the story, which made it quite predictable. You can pretty much tell who will win in each fight, although it might be predetermined due to it being a prequel( remember, I haven’t watch stay night yet). Although with that said, I am most certainly not saying that the story sucks, it’s just that it doesn’t require you to think as much as other animes(like Steins;gate for example). Nevertheless, it has kept me interested so I am willing to give it an 8/10.

Art & Sound: Fate/Zero did everything perfectly on this one. The graphics were beautifully drawn and animated, with CGI which looks fucking amazing(forgive the profanity). The fight scenes were especially stunning, one of the best I’ve seen and believe me, I’ve watched a lot of shounen animes. Now, if there’s one way to describe the music, it is like an orgasm for the ears. The OP was so awesome that I’d put it at the same level of epicness as FF7’s One Winged Angel. The ED was also something, it had this calming feel to it, which is really good after watching some heated action. I swear I have never skipped a single OP or ED while watching this anime and i loved every second of it. I give both art and music a 10/10 and if you think this is biased, tell me that again after you’ve watched it.

Characters: One of the main selling points of Fate/Zero. Every type of character is in this anime, and there is bound to be one that you will like. Although I said that, I assure you that it’s nothing like Naruto wherein they just introduce a crap-load of characters hoping that you would like one, no. Every main character is explored and character development is noticeable throughout the show. As the story goes, you will get to know the story of each character, their ideals, their personalities as well as the wishes they want to make. They explain each character to a certain depth and doesn’t just leave them as cannon fodder to killed later. I give it a 10/10 because the characters are just epic, and you really will grow attached to some of them.

Enjoyment: It was enjoyable in the sense that it doesn’t need you to turn off your brain nor does it require you to think a lot to enjoy it. It is also entertaining to watch the awesome fight scenes as well as some emotionally touching scenes. How I enjoyed Fate/Zero isn’t really something that I can put well into words but I really enjoyed it, and I am willing to give it a 8/10

Overall: Fate/Zero has been a truly wonderful ride, and it has kept me wanting for more. The story, however predictable, was still exciting in its own way. The thing that kept me watching though was to see how the characters would turn out. I loved to see them being driven into a corner, seeing them turn into a slightly different person after every battle. While watching them grow, I even grew attached to them, and it pained me to see some of them die. It was wonderful overall and for that, I give it a 9/10

That is all I have to say and if you have any comments at all, please do write them at my page. Any criticism will be highly appreciated. Also if you have found this review helpful please do mark it as helpful. Thx :))
