The plots of the different mysteries could use some improvement, but it's not that bad...
... AND BOTH PROTAGONISTS OOZE SUCH AWESOMENESS... that I'd forgive much, much weaker plots.

In the end, I loved this series for the post-war & government conspiracy atmosphere, and for the protagonists : Shinjurou, indifferent to his poor reputation, conflicted between his faith in and his disgust of humanity. And Inga, mysterious and delightfully terrifying character. I also love their relationship, between dependence, complicity, intimacy even... and domination/subordination...

I absolutely loved those two. Rinroku, as the 'chessmaster' behind (at least part of) the conspiracy, is an extremely interesting character as well, with a lot of potential. Kazamori, very true in her/his/its persona of artificial being that somehow 'grows' a soul because of her/his/its 'almost human' state of existence is also a very enjoyable character.

I must confess, the other few recurring characters either get on my nerves (Rie) or are a bit useless (police people). But with such great main characters, that's really not much of a concern. (If they could get rid of Rie, I would be thankful, though...)

In the end, I had a lot of fun watching this series, and I really really really REALLY hope there's gonna be a sequel... ;D
