Originally from type-moon visual novel.
I dont know for those who don't like visual novel, never read it, and just watch this anime, but for me:
Story: I don't like it (HATE it, i must say), because i love the original. The visual novel Contains 3 different story : Fate, Unlimited Blade Works, and Heaven's Feel. This anime based from fate, but it combined with the details2 from the other story. It's horrible combination, too forced maybe,
and became VERY SPOILER, plus there is defect (maybe just a few realise it), also lack of emotion.
Art: Great, much2 better than the novel
Sound: Great, but rather spoiler for certain instrumental (thanks i did'nt know the title of that music when saw the anime), OP and ED is original and I love it.
Character: Very Great, proof : saber is more popular than fate/stay night. the most important is character voice (because the novel is silent, extremely boring)
Enjoyment: So-so
I say, this anime just for guidance to read the novel, until understand the personality for each character (up to eps 12 or 13), after that... SPOILER
