This show is amazing! The music is fantastic and the fight sequences are an entertaining mix of dubious attention to historical accuracy and flat out physics defying insanity! The characters manage to be both entertaining and surprisingly engaging! Also the dubFUTAE NO KIWAMI AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Basically:
The TV show is pretty great! ...If you stop watching after the Kyoto Arc. All you have to look foward to in its aftermath is a bunch of mediocre shit the show's writers pulled out of their collective ass while waiting for the manga to finish its final chapter. It doesn't help that the filler was SO BORING that the show was cancelled before they actually got to animate said final chapter. Not that I'm bitter or anything, I ended up reading the manga to find out what happens and it was TOTALLY worth it!
On the other hand if you:
- Didn't get your fill from the filler episodes in the FIRST TWO seasons
- Would like, no, LOVE to watch animated adaptations of Kazuhiro Furuhashi's fanfiction
- DESPERATELY need closure re: that Yutaro kid, up to and including him coming back and starring in his own ridiculous story arc about a secret European invasion of ninjas or some shit I don't even
- Can't read
...then don't let me discourage you from checking out the third season!
