First of all, I'm a huge football fan. I'm not talking about someone who just watches the game, I'm talking someone who analyzes the games, who reads interviews and post-game stuff as well.

What I love most about Fantasista is that it gives me a sense of amazement. Teppei is just incredibly talented, but in a realistic way. He isn't super quick, he doesn't score from 50 yards, he isn't super strong. He's just very clever, very intelligent (on the field at least) and very skilled at what he's doing. He stands out, but other players do that as well.

The manga is funny, it has a lot of humor. The art is pretty good, the characters are all drawn pretty realistically and the author is good at portraying the game of football in a convincing and realistic way. The characters are all realistic, they behave like 99% of people would, which I enjoy, but they also have their own personalities and quirks that make them even more believable.

The story is a little hollow at the moment, which is normal for most sports mangas, but it's still a very good read if you're a football and manga fanatic like me.
