Preliminary (12/50 chp)
What to say, what to say, really its hard to describe this manga. I am glad I picked up on it just this very day when looking up manga BONES(creators of Eureka 7, Eureka 7 AO, and Wolf's Rain) was adapting into a anime series. I think the anime can turn out really good, as BONES good at its adaption(for all of the ones I've seen). It had some magic fights, but also has mind battles. Well back to the review!

Story:
The story is great(9/10) the story has that kind of touch that really hits you in the chest. In this world there are 2 trees that have the power to bestoy magic, "Tree of Beginning",which gifts magic for protecting the world's law the it set and "Tree of Zetsuden", a tree that gifts magic for destruction for breaking the laws. One or the other will awaken and bring a whole new world to being, either good or bad. A main character ,Yoshino, a boy out for revenge for his step-sister's and his parent's murder, who found a magic wooden figure that allowed him to talk to the main heroine, Hazake. Hazake is the princess of the Kusaribe Clan, to gifted magic by the "Tree of Beginnings" to protect, and keep an eye on the "Tree of Zetsuden", betray the "Tree of Beginnings" and plan to resurrect the "Tree of Zetsuden", cast away their princess, Hazake, on a deserted island, where high level magic is impossible, to make sure she doesn't stop them and resurrect the "Tree of Beginnings", as she is fated to do so. 2 years later, a year after Yoshino's family's death, Yoshino makes contact with her with a talisman she made in hopes of stopping her older brother. Along the way, remakes contact with Mashiro, his friend and secret boyfriend of his sister, who gets absorbed in this epidemic. This is the first arc(in opinion) it is currently in its 2nd.

Art:
The art is well done, great(9/10) as MAL says, each character has a good design, which shows almost no fatal flaws in remaking it for other scenes, and those badass scenes, may not give too great of detail, whats written there completely changes it. The most detailed pieces in opinion are during magic fights(again opinion), there is a good deal of detailed pieces as well for turning points in the mind battles.

Character:
The characters are great(9/10) as well! There are the 2 main male leads, who are too fucking badass for words!(opinion) Mashiro, is 1st one introduced to us looking for his friend and lover to his sister, he is always calm and collected and takes most of the mind battles though he is able to take quite a bit of combat quite well like the other, Yoshino. He is the one I think is more badass(opinion again), he is out for revenge for his family's murder which all is related to the story, he is also the one who takes out all reasoning for his revenge he will cross anyone in his way and is more fluid in combat, due to his personality before and after gives, in the mind battles he can think as quite good, but not as good as Mashiro, they make the PERFECT(opinion) duo, one can take mind battles, the other does all fighting, though they don't have a "buds for ever" connection, its close enough to make them trust each other more than others, but the one who keeps their teamwork in check is none other than the main heroine, Hazake. Hazake is the reason they got all in to this mess, they became the her troops to do as she needed to get off a deserted island, she also gifted them with magic to help them, but only so much. She also is the main heroine, she is not as badass, but keeps herself up there. With her gifting them the strength to go up to par with their enemies, the 3 can fight together, Mashiro can think up a perfect plan as they go, Yoshino dishing out the most 1 hit damage, while Hazake dishes out more rapid attacks, but also fuels them.

Enjoyment:
All this makes its outstanding(10/10). You get a real touch for the characters, though I got lost in the story at times, you can easily figure things out along the way as well. this manga won't disappoint its like Death Note plus magic and BADASSARY!

Overall:
9/10
why, more 9s than 10, I gotta stay truthful over all. In truth I would give it 10, I LOVED IT, but gotta give it more truth than opinion. The Shakespire references confuses me at times, its great definitely worth reading if you like action, and Death Note.
