At first glance, this show appears to be nothing more than an anime where the idea of a battle royal runs rampant. Though Mirai Nikki shows heavy elements of that idea, it turned out to be something more.

Story - The story in this series is absolutely amazing. In my opinion, the plot was complex, with many twists and turns which would always leave the viewer in suspense. The story depicts a unsociable teenager named Yukiteru Amano. Yukiteru is your average fourteen year old with abandonment issues. To add insult to injury, Yuno Gasai is a mysterious girl, a stalker that is obsessed with the protagonist. In Mirai Nikki, the show revolves around them and how they cope with the survival game, but they soon find out the tragic fate that will soon behold them.

Characters - The characters in Mirai Nikki showed exceptional potential and I was right. All the characters play a special part in the game, they all have their reasons for winning. The most popular character is obviously Yuno, with her obsessive tendencies. From what I see, Yukiteru is a hated character due to his cowardice, indecisiveness, and naivety. One could even say that if he was removed from the story, the survival game can still go on due to his reliance on Yuno. However, I believe that he is a great character. When you think about it, he has his reasons for his weaknesses. He is fourteen years old, he is a naive loner, and to top it all off he has a mysterious and perhaps insane girl stalking him every moment of his life. Overall, the characters were very appealing, contributing to the story exactly what they needed to. 10/10

Sound - This is one of the elements that made me grow to love this series. The openings and endings both match with the concept of this anime. The first ending was my favorite especially. The background music in each episode always match with the situation the protagonists are in. The voice actors also compliment the characters they play. 10/10

Art - The art is decent compared to other anime series of the 2011-2012 timespan. Honestly, the art is mediocre at best when compared to animes released in the same dates such as Guilty Crown. The character designs were normal, I did not find it good nor bad. The only character designs that appealed to me were those of Yuno, Yukiteru, and Minene. They looked like how their personalities would make them appear to be. 8/10

Enjoyment - I enjoyed watching Mirai Nikki. The complex storyline was what got me in the end. I will be watching this again someday in the future. To whoever that would like to watch this anime, there are heavy elements of violence and gore. Overall, I am proud to say that Mirai Nikki is the best anime I have watched during it's 2011-2012 airing time. Anime series such as Mirai Nikki are kind of anime that I look forward to every year. Perhaps there will be another in 2012. 10/10

Extra - There are many uses of symbolism in this series. Perhaps it is my own belief, but Mirai Nikki displays many actions of the characters which mean something I believe that is deeper than the storyline intends to show us. I'd hate to give spoilers, but the last episode uses symbolism extremely well to draw the viewer in. The anime also displays many traits of human nature. I might sound too deep right now but Mirai Nikki shows the virtues of devotion, love, human kindness, and acceptance. Yes, I enjoyed the anime that much to think about this.

Overall - I was very pleased with this show. Along with the gore and violence, there are also many tragic events which accompany the storyline. Towards the end, you will understand what I mean by that. So in conclusion, Mirai Nikki is a must watch, I highly recommend it. I will not forget Mirai Nikki and will look forward to it's "Next Project".
