Story: The Diclonius are a species of evolved humans with two cat-ear like horns and vectors, telekinetically controlled arms that have the power to manipulate and cut objects within their reach. Diclonius are being held in a facility off the coast of Kamakura in Kanagawa, south of the city of Yokohama, by the scientist Kurama. The first of the Diclonius race, a teenage girl named by the staff as "Lucy," has had a seriously dark past, just like everyone else in the series. the anime starts with lucy trying to escape from her prison, ruthlessly killing everyone in her way.
Art: when it comes to looks, the art in this anime is beautiful second only to Air TV. the art in Elfen lied in vibrant and rich, and the animation is smooth.
Sound: The music in Elfen lied is simply beautiful. 'Lillium' is the most beautiful song i've heard, not to it adds to the very sad pasts of lucy and nana.
Overall the anime is very enjoyable and it'll keep you guessing until the end. But since there's sooo much blood and nudity in the series, it's no wonder they can't really air it on TV in America. So it's not really meant for everyone.
