Story:
At first when I heard this series and the fact it has a strange way to tell a story in this plot I was sold and so I started watching this.
First everything didn't make any sense at all. But after I had watched 10 episodes, I kind of beginning to understand that there is this system called Question Arc and Answers Arc and with these you should solve a mystery and put a story in pieces.
This story is really great and it kind of make viewers to think what is going on in this anime so it's definitely one of the weirdest things.
Story gets 9/10
Art:
I would say art was decent it would not be anything mind blowing but good.
Places were kind of spooky and old buildings really gave this anime a own kind of art form to shine. Animation was a fit in to places so nothing look like too light or too dark.
Art gets 8/10
The Sounds:
First, I want to say that special effects were used this anime really well like they really got a scary feelings and emotions.
Anime OP was interestingly done like there were a some woman singing and trees were blowing. And one scene of the Opening there is this green haired girl who goes a mad crazy and another scene there was a lamp swinging really badly it kind of gives some kind of horror feeling and viewer can expect to think that this anime won't be a normal horror anime.
ED was great too the song fit into the music perfectly and the scenes again in ED were scary and there was a lot of blood in the end of the ED.
Sound gets 10/10
The Characters: I am only going to speak in few of the main cast there is too much characters to talk about but I will talk about these 5.
Keiichi
Mion
Rena.
Rika
Satoko
So let's get started shall we?
Maebara Keiichi:
A long boy who is living a with his parents and they are living a normal life. Keiichi likes to irritate others and it seems he's getting a trouble for many things. Keiichi is happy, reliable and strong character.
Sonozaki Mion:
Mion is green haired girl who formed a club where they can play games together but when someone for example loses one of the games they decide punishment and they are like walking a different suit in the places and so on. Mion is Scary, Unpredictable.and shy.
Ryūgū Rena:
Another girl who is involved with problems and she can be a hell a lot scarier and happy same time. Rena is also a very good friend of Keiichi and she kind of like Keiichi but is also shy to tell her feelings for him.
She always is playing with Keiichi in this dumping ground kind of place and she keeps this axe kind of weapon with him which is really scary.
Furude Rika:
Rika is special girl in this anime and she's involved in this anime the most but she has a blue hair and she's looking like a doll. And she knows something that others don't know.
Hōjō Satoko:
Satoko is a yellow haired girl who is always relying her brother and she some scenes start to cry and worrying his brother. Satoko is happy, laughing, tactical person.
The Characters gets 10/10
Liked:
- Many character has an interesting flashback stories.
- Rika's way to say this thing called NIPAH!
Disliked:
- Too much historical facts given in the anime.
- Too much blood and mad scenes.
Enjoyment:
I really was hook to this anime because I marathon this anime in 4 days so it just always felt I want to know the more and I want know what is going on now. It was like I was saying myself I watch this episode after this I watch later but it turned to I watched 5-10 episodes per day. So I really liked it.
Overall:
I really recommend this anime any horror anime fans or if you want get a new kind of story twist in your anime, then this anime is for you.
Also I would recommend you to first read manga then watch anime I didn't do this myself so I was a lost in plot until the Kai which is Second season of this one.
This anime really keeps the party going and it has a depression, sadness, happiness, scariness, investigation and all that good things that should be in a good horror Anime series.
It also has a many characters and you can feel their feelings in the anime.
So My Overall score for this anime is 9/10
