Honestly, I can't find anything about Elfen Lied to criticize; thus, I gave it a rating of 10.

Story - 10. Obviously, the amount of blood, gore, and VERY suggestive actions between characters are enough to make someone dissatisfied with the entire anime. However, the story itself is interestingly touching to me. Elfen Lied uses the darkest most gruesome and naive truths and feelings people have for one another to stir the emotion of it's audience. The emotion watchers feel probably isn't what they want, but nonetheless, it's an effective way to make a touching series.

Art - 10. The animation was very fluent, and all drawing were to proportion, action was definitely detailed effectively. Afterall, when body parts get shot off, we're not expecting to see flowers instead of blood right? The gore was quite realistic, though not a favorite to most people.

Sound - 10. Loved the music, I'm always a fan of slow elegant music which I can play on the piano myself.

Character - 10. Everyone had a story, and though many were known as massive killing machines, they too had the secret part of themselves that only a select few would be able to see and experience.

Enjoyment - 10. In the end, I loved how they stirred my emotion with the twisted truths of humankind, this alone kept me watching 'til the very end.

Overall - 10. The entire series of course averages out to a 10. And I am a critic, I criticize everything when I'm allowed to. This is probably not the best in me, but seeing as I gave this series an outstanding 10 even though I have the habit of criticizing, I'd say this was well worth my time.
