I especially love this anime partly because I was mesmerized by how the anime is brave and straight forward with the gore without having the audience turning away from the screen. If I compare this anime with Another, I will say that this anime's gory elements is way more entertaining than the ones in Another as in this anime you are actually thinking along with the characters: "Die b*tch dieee-!" rather than "Oh sh*t another person just die, UMMM....= ="
I also fell in love with the character developments in Mirai Nikki. Other than the yandere craziness, Gasai Yuno brings the audience to understand that sometimes love can become an illness, and that a person can become evil through motivations that originally evolve from a pure and innocent wish. It's her insecurity of not being able to receive love from her childhood that contributes to her insanity and her obsession with Yukiteru. Like Yagami Light in Death Notes whose arrogance and hunger for power lead him astray from his original goal of creating justice for the world, Gasai Yuno in Mirai Nikki turns her desire for love into something monstrous and uncontrollable... and I will just leave it at that since I don't want to spoil the story for anyone. And if you can follow my odd comparison of Gasai Yuno to Yagami Light still, the most impressive part about this story is that unlike Light who meets destruction in the end, Yuno is actually saved by love, hope, and forgiveness.... Okay. I will shut up now.
So yeah, definitely watch this mind-blowing anime! I highly recommend it. & Akise Aru, dayum, gotta love that boy.
