This anime manages to pack so much story and character development into just 13 episodes, while it doesn't get respect at in its ratings. I've never written a review for an anime and this is my first but I felt that I had to because I enjoyed this anime so much. I can't comment on the Subbed version because I watched it Dubbed and the voices were great.

The story isn't really hard to follow but it is complicated enough to have some plot twist later down the road. Again for having only 13 episodes there is a lot going on in each episode not enough to overwhelm you with information but enough to keep you interested in the characters as well as the overall show. This show is for action fans but it does do a great job of blending elements of other genres together. Strain isn't just a mindless hack and slash mecha anime. Some characters do die in the show but their deaths all contribute something to the story.
