I was absolutely blown away by the prequel Clannad. That being said, it was inevitable i continue with After Story. I found it to be quite a bit more mature than its predecessor due in large to the characters themselves inching towards adulthood. Though it most certainly retains its comedic aspects, this anime is, in my opinion, a masterpiece in that it portrays a beautiful and gripping story unlike any I have seen before. I'm not all ashamed to admit that I found myself crying more to a few episodes of this series than I have in the rest of my life. Never before has an anime affected me as much as this one has. I highly recommend taking the time to watch Clannad. Although it does seem to have more comedy throughout its episodes than After Story, it is a great piece altogether. Afterwords, I hope you will continue to immerse yourself in the beauty of Clannad After Story. Thank you for your time.
