The Blue Lock anime improves in Season 2, much to my surprise. Almost everything is better in this second season.
The pacing: There’s almost no downtime, no boring moments—everything is perfectly handled.
The animation: Absolutely stunning.
The soundtrack: Both beautiful and diverse.
Character development: Much better executed, making it easier to connect with the different players.
Positives:
The suspense keeps you hooked throughout the entire season.
More focus on the secondary characters.
The rivalry | friendship dynamic between the characters.
Negatives:
The first few episodes feel almost useless, with a challenge that could have been removed.
Some actions are hard to follow because there aren’t enough wide-angle shots to clearly show character positioning (especially in the early episodes).
The introduction of special “techniques” similar to Tsubasa or Inazuma Eleven, which slightly breaks the realistic feel I liked about the series (though it’s not too exaggerated).
In summary, if you liked Season 1, you’ll definitely watch Season 2.
