The best way to describe this anime would be the equivalent of the first half of a low drama pocket book. That's not to say it's bad, but it definitely fits the genre. It's a really sweet story, though incomplete, and it drew quite a few laughs from me. I was also never bored throughout the show despite the lack of drama, I managed to watch it all in a single siting if that's any indication. I really love the relationship that's developing between the mains as well. Friends to lovers is a favorite of mine and they had had me blushing on occasion. So if pocket books are your thing it's not a bad way to spend an afternoon, but it's also nothing special. Like many other's I noticed the sharp drop in animation quality near the end of the series, and I do think it sours it a bit. Combined with the lack of development in the plot as well as the rest of the cast, it leads to a product that's just fine for me.
