It definitely has the feel good aspects that all the other slice of life animes have. The art is beautiful and the scenery of the small town was definitely something I enjoyed watching. The first half of the movie I enjoyed, the nostalgia of high school and hanging out with friends. The movie also it shows the journey of loss and sacrifice, in the example of Akane's situation.
The thing that was a put off for me was that Shino and Aoi developed feeling for each other. Shino is Akane's partner and a big brother figure of Aoi, Shino also met Aoi when she was extremely young. It's just such a weird situation to me, I didn't like it.
Maybe I'm missing something and have to watch it again to character analyze, but as of right now I'm not that into it.
