"The Martial God Who Regressed Back to Level 2" is the perfect example of a manhwa that takes a popular regression trope and somehow manages to regress into mediocrity. Our protagonist, once a godlike martial artist, gets sent back to the early stages of his journey, yet proceeds to make the same dumb mistakes with all the emotional depth of a puddle. The plot drags its feet like it’s stuck in molasses, with pacing issues and characters so forgettable you might need a reminder they exist. Sure, the art is nice, but even flashy fight scenes can’t save this snooze-fest of a story. If you’re looking for character growth or compelling narrative, this is one level you should skip.
