You've heard already, Lily C.A.T. is a mashup of Alien and The Thing with a few twists of its own. We get the opening 5 minutes that introduce all the people we're about to see get got and then we're off to the races. The characters are pretty basic and story is not incredible but they do motion at some interesting ideas about long-term space travel. For the most part the animation is your run of the mill late 80s and early 90s styling but it looks great when the alien decides it wants to do its thing. Watching Lily C.A.T. is like eating ice cream: it's just a little treat not a hearty meal and, honestly, not a bad way to kill an hour.
