A manga axed for the better or for the worst depending on the reader. For me it was for the better.
For the story I would like to seperate it into two different parts, first the introductory phase and second the main plot. And now the glaring problem which arises due to this is that the intorductory phase felt too short and the main plot was just dumped onto us. There was no suitable transition to cushion for the change of pace. The introductory phase also didn't do much apart from a little too brief introduction of characters and their powers. And then there came a barrage of fights which I was not ready for. The fights itself were the chapters, not the other way round. And not even like small spars, full blown shounen fights. The plot too wasn't something to praise about. It felt like reading a cheap copy of Akame Ga Kill!
About the characters, and they were similarly not up to par. The character designs were fine at least. I liked the design for that female boss (I forgot her name), rest were fine. I found their character traits lackluster for the most part. The female main lead was annoying as hell. Impulsive and irrational behaviour which was used as a tool to introduce fights into the story and the "maiden in distress" trait to progress the plot forward. Others were also generic as hell. The usual familial connection between the villain and the hero, underestimating the opponent in fights, power of friendship emerging triumphous in the end are some of the example of the cliches it uses.
Art definitely was a better trait than all the others for this manga. Even tho most of it was utilised in the fights where there were large action slashes covering half of the pages, it was good.
