It would have everything to be one of my favorite works, but the episodes are very short.
Lulu (yes, I'll call her that) is a thief who stole an extremely powerful ring. After being betrayed by her co-worker and boyfriend, she threw herself into the sea, thus being teleported to another body and world, which It's a kind of Jin Dynasty with magic. In this new life she meets a prince named Liuyun, who will help Lulu deal with this new world.
So, this anime broke my expectations (in a good way), I had zero faith in a Chinese anime with such a crazy synopsis, but I was completely surprised. I admit that the episode schedule is extremely short, and this makes the story faster than usual, but despite this, it continues to have an incredible narrative and art. I didn't know I missed a brave protagonist and a more adult narrative until I tried this anime. You know, you don't find many shoujos with violence or semi-nudity scenes, these topics are reserved for men, and I don't say this as a crazy person obsessed with nudity and blood, but it's good to have a change, it's very satisfying to get out of the same old thing. , where the protagonists are always crying and the entire anime is super soft, I have nothing against crying girls and soft anime, but ALL SHOUJO IS LIKE THAT. Anyway, this anime showed me that you certainly can't judge a work by its synopsis or even nationality, I didn't believe that Chinese anime could be as good as Japanese classics, and I certainly regret that thought, because this anime brought creativity and a lot of courage to break out of the anime norm. Maybe his rating isn't 100% consistent with his quality, but, for me, a 9 is very consistent with the satisfaction I felt watching him.
