The premise of this is simple - our "hero" finds a choker, puts it on, and it turns out to be a special choker that will kill you unless you get your wish. So he spends the rest of the movie trying to figure out what his wish is, with the cooperation of his female friends.
Of course, everyone assumes his wish is about what you'd think it would be with several beautiful female friends, so... hijinks and hilarity ensue.
Well, not really. That's an exaggeration. Okay, it's kind of the exact opposite of what happens. It's a fanservice fest. That's all it is. Just fanservice after fanservice after fanservice. Going into details about it would be a spoiler, but I don't really have to. Just use your imagination, whatever you're thinking that doesn't involve actual hentai is probably in there somewhere. At least the Konosuba series had a plot. Whatever this had barely qualifies to be called a plot. Maybe a "vehicle for showing floppy female parts?" Yeah, that fits.
I was already feeling a little off about the first series, then I watched this... put on series two, got three minutes in, hit the "dropped" button.... and never looked back.
I know this is a really popular anime, for some reason. I know people really like it and were really looking forward to series three. I get it. I'm going against the grain. But this is truly what I think.
Now, all that being said... about 95 percent of the people reading this love fanservice, love Konosuba, and would enjoy the heck out of this, so... I'm marking it "mixed feelings". Not because I like it, because I absolutely did *not*, but because you might, and that's the point of a review. If you like fanservice, and let's face it, you probably do, watch this, and you'll be happy. It doesn't offer anything else, really, but most folks don't need anything else, so enjoy.
But if you're anything like me (and you likely aren't), just skip it. It was a waste of time.
