Besides Ren and his school friend (can't bother to remember his name), all of the characters suck. Ren is a fourteen year old child, and every adult around him watches as he is constantly molested by a twenty two year old adult. Everyone thinks it's cute and funny, and nobody does anything to protect him or take the situation seriously.
The anime tries to justify itself by showing how much Ren (a child) loves and cares for Haru (an adult), and how he "doesn't want to be treated as a child". Regardless of how badly Ren wants to be treated like an adult, he isn't one, and it's the responsability of the ACTUAL adults around him to take care of him and not abuse him. The fact that he has a crush on Haru is also irrelevant. It doesn't matter how much a CHILD likes an adult, it's the dult's responsability to not be a pedophile and a weirdo.
Whoever wrote this needs to do jail time.
