Animation (8/10)
The animation is almost the same as season 4 if you like the animation then your going to enjoy this one as well.However,sometimes in this season the brightness is freaking insane for the first two episode that i almost got blinded by it.The cgi is still there but honestly,I started to not care about it after the bad animation in season 3 and the balls to adapt one volume in 1 episode.With all that said,I still like the animation.
Characters (9/10)
Now i know that i probably give it too high but yes i do love all the characters and not just kurumi.I would even argue that kurumi is not the best character and there are so many characters that is really good.Westcott is possibily the best character,Woodman is also a really good character and Rizzuka Shido having the most growth being from a legitimate pussy to a chad.The easiest example is in episode 1 and 3 of season 5,you could definitely tell that shido has gotten more experience than ever through this whole 5 seasons and that is why i genuinely love him.There's also season 4 episode 9 and 12 where kurumi herself said that shido changed.He started from "can i kiss?" to "nah,i'd kiss" and being one,if not the only harem protagonist who actually develops.We also have tohka/tenka,nia,natsumi,mukuro,origami and all the other harem member,are also really good but i couldnt really delve too much since were gonna enter a lot of spoiler area.All i could say is that every interaction that they have are very enjoyable.
Soundtrack/voice actor (9.5/10)
One of the best strengths of dal is the soundtrack created by Goat Sakabe,so I really have nothing much to say other than date a music is still amazing.I hope that this season and season 4 have an orchestra version op just like the rest, because those are truly peak.Just wanna add something before i started to talk about the op,rhapsody time and sincere trust are one of the greatest soundtracks I have heard in dal,and I definitely recommend hearing it.The op and ed of season 5 is really good.Ed being one of the best that dal has ever produced since the second season.Sweet arms and gou sakabe never misses to make me smile or cried (if you know the context).The op however also perfectly did its job having miyu tomita for the second time is really good,I would even argue that its also one if not the best op in dal (I swear and over does exist so thats quite a controversial take isnt it?) but if your just an anime watcher you wont really understand why I said so.I also love how you see kurumi before the chorus in season 4 but in season 5 we see shido.I actually forgot about the voice actors since I talk about the soundtrack,op and ed too much.I mean you already know what im gonna say about it so lets just make it short since im yapping too much right now.The voice actors is good im not gonna say amazing because to really call them amazing I need to see how they perform in this season but I know that they could do an amazing job.Afterall,the previous seasons they all did really good.
In conclusion,I know that I give dal a 10 and that is very weird.You could even argue that im quite biased since ive read through the novel but dal is one of my first anime ive ever watched so it holds a special place in my heart.However,I actually agree that the first 2 or 3 seasons of dal is quite mid,but after watching the 3rd season which is the origami's arc and watching back season 1 episode 1 i could definitely say that dal is a very planned story.From the beginning until season 4 theres tons of foreshadowing so I dont know whether koushi tachibana is an idiot or genius for making me say this,and that is dal is an actually good harem anime.It even up the ante for harems in general,like i dont even understand how he could actually make a story about a high school boy kissing girls to seal their power makes sense and deep but here i am.Now im probably just yapping but yes I do think that dal has a very good story beneath the harem.Season 3 origami's arc,season 4 kurumi's arc,season 2 tenka arc (a literal foreshadowing arc) and now season 5 where its not just a simple harem story but more than that.Im quite shocked to see that geektoys might actually adapt only 3 volume this season.So im very glad with what they've done so far.Season 4 shows that they could actually pour their heart adapting an anime after all the other mid anime they've done except migi to dali (dead mounth death play is also quite good) so i really hope that they put their A game for this season as well.There is some missing details in season 4 that they did not adapt but gold star for trying to fix the mess that jc staff did in season 3.Just to clarify ln is light novel,I dont even know why im trying to explain this but the more you know the better isnt it?One last thing,gah damn they did episode 4 really good great job geektoys.
