Shima Rin is a solo camper, which for over half of first season does just that.. camps alone, in first episode she meets one of the other main focus character, Nadeshiko, which inspires Nadeshiko to start camping too and joining her school camping club. despite Nadeshiko and Rin not directly camping together for a while and rarely meeting, they form a pretty strong bond together, and are constantly talking with each other about their campings.
The anime have pretty good visuals, a good appeal of it being the scenaries present in almost every episode (the other being probably the characters and their comedic interactions.. well it's a slice of life anime, that's pretty much what you should expect from the plot, though it have a sense of progression in the story).
The anime can be somehwat informative at times, presenting details about camp locations, camping in general and even food recipes, not to say a lot of tools used for camping and even comparison between them.
The story isn't really deep and can be enjoyed by pretty much anyone, though it can be somewhat slow at times.. some may even say.. laidback.
