Some aspect of the movie is really stunning and not something you often see/or ever see in other movie.
But, some other part feels... normal or fine
and that is why i cant give it above 8/10
Art - 11/10
Let me write the obvious first,
the animation and the art is absolutely gorgeous. from the color, propotion, the smoothness of the animation, and etc. is fire.
Secondly, the less obvious.
through out the movie i feel like the animator go to an anime world and film the movie there, mainly because of how they apply these effect such as bokeh, change in focus, chromatic aberration and so on in such great consistency and how well they're applied to make it feel like it was filmed with a lens.
you probably can debate that this anime has the best animation ever.
Sound - 10/10
The sound is great. it is crisp and the sound really compliment the environment but, it's not what my favorite thing about the sound. my favorite part of the sound is the Josee VA. she's a magician. her voice really suit Josee and she really can make Josee feel alive and natural. her voice doesnt feel too moe or stiff, it just in the right spot. the accent and almost everything else is great.
Plot - 7/10
The plot is really bothering me. the story it self is not bad but it's also.... normal. and unfortunately not a good normal, like it's kinda cliche and normal and you kinda can guess what would happen next but maybe this is what they're aiming, to make the world or story feel believable?? or maybe it just a matter of preference, maybe i don't really like it, and mabe you will.
The second thing i dont like is that sometimes the story feel forced and not natural and i think the main contributtor to this 'forced' feeling is the pacing. the pacing feel off.
The massage of the story it self is good and i personally liked it (i dont wanna go in depth bc it would spoil the thing and im kinda lazy to explain it lmao)
overall and summary - 8/10
This movie is a good watch with an insanely gorgeous art but, if you have watch a lot of anime, you probably wouldn't enjoy it that much because of the story feel normal and cliche at times
bus still this anime is good nontheless
and im gonna make this stament again, you probably can debate that this anime has the best animation ever.
