The story is divided into two parts, during the reformatory and the post-reformatory, with the post, telling the story of each of the characters. The first arc has a great emotional weight, with a lot of heavy scenes and this creates a bond between the viewer and the characters, as well as reinforcing the bond between the characters; I wouldn't say it's a meaningless union, the situations they went through are very realistic. The second arc shows what they learned inside the reformatory and how they used it in their lives, and the way it was narrated is impressive. Mário is the character with the greatest participation on screen but this does not mean that he is the most important, perhaps unfortunately the one who gained less prominence was the Soldier, but he also had his value in the plot. The secondary characters were also captivating and it was possible to create empathy for them, it wouldn't be impossible to ask for a second season, after all the question asked at the beginning of the anime is: "Where are the boys from the reform school, after 50 years?", which they certainly are together and the friendship remains, but for the viewers they deserved this response. I highly recommend the anime!
