Spoiler
As an almost single-handed work, Ongaku take 1hour of your day. Is it too much? In my opinion, no.

About the animation, what I can say is that the lack of dynamism in the more everyday scenes is something that makes part of the story a little boring, but this is compensated in the moments of catharsis, where there is an explosion of colors and expressions, which make On-Gaku such a unique piece artistically speaking.

Here we have de main protagonist, Kenji, who is kinda bored of life, the fights and things he usually do, always trying to do new things and giving up before achieve really great things.

His friends are following him all the time, but he himself doesn't know exactly what he wants, as he still doesn't understand his true nature. This fact is repeated with the band almost identical to that of the protagonists: Kobijutsu. They also do not know their own nature, finding it only in moments of greatest disappointment and ecstasy.

I recommend you watch it because it's more than an anime about a band, it's about how seriously you take things in life.
