See I am not a fan of this genre. But lately when I say this I feel like a contrarian cause I always find a way to give this genre a chance, because every now and then it does present a good manga served in a platter to sate that one romantic corner of my stomach. And when I say that this is one of those specimens that can feed me for a week, I ain't kidding.

The manga contains two major characters and the story doesn't shy away to make their relation clear right off the bat. A story about unrequited love of a witch towards a human, who she knows is out of his reach. It is one of the stories where the one who loves tries to drift away form the object of love and the one who is loved slowly and steadily falls for her. While I may make it seem that it is some authentic, a realistic take on the fantasy romance genre, the actual manga is far much laid-back. It is much more comedy oriented than I would have guessed, which I perceive as a plus point while writing this review.
Yes it is cliched, yes I agree! But I love me some cliche, especially when it is enacted so beautifully.

About the art, IT IS GOOD. While you would expect some good, flashy, kawai, etc. drawings on the pages of a manga with this theme and genre, the art in this manga is a little more than the staple. It takes much help of the chibi style which is seen often in this manga to enhance the comedic aspect. And I love every bit of it. I mean who doesn't? And in the areas where the chibi style is absent are well drawn too. Especially the panels with some kind of scenery in them. I love them.

At last, to summarise this review- A must read for the fans of this genre, and even those who are trying to get into this genre or who are bored of the same cliched dump, like me, can read this manga. I can't promise you a manga with new ideas and tropes but what I can guarantee is a GOOD cliched manga.

Thank you.
