City Hunter is one of the great anime of the late '80s era. It still survives till today with movie specials that are released every couple of years or so. This shows how good the concept is. It has other spin-offs of sort like Angel Eyes from the same manga artist. The songs and music used here are pretty much top notch as per the first season. If you are a fan of city pop of the '80s and '90s, then the soundtrack of City Hunter 2 would be of interest.
The City Hunter 2 is the second season of City Hunter. It is about the sweeper or vigilante similar to the role of McCall in The Equalizer of the same era. In this case the sweeper is Ryo Saeba. He is an orphan of Japanese heritage but somehow he ended up in the war zone as a child. The war zone was not named but it looks like South East Asia in the '70s. So he was trained and was able to survive in the war zone, learning skills and martial arts. His shooting skills are top notch. He is supported by a host of characters of which Kaori Makimura is the most important. She is also his greatest regret in some sort of ways. Watch it and you will not regret it.
