Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (37/? chp)
This manga starts off very strong, smoothly incorporating progressively heightening romantic developments balanced with lots of scenes that give you plenty of chances to fawn over the lovely heroine. There's a plot, but not enough of a plot for it to stray too far away from the main thing the manga is meant to be: a cute romance between a possessive alien girl and a guy who really likes aliens in a way that starts off as mostly platonic. Over the course of the first volume the two gradually get closer, and it's both delightful and surprising how much care was put into handling this properly, in a way that feels organic.

Then volume two comes along and immediately shatters all of that. The progression of the romance between the MC and the female lead, the depth of the story, the usual content of the chapters, all of it is gone. Literally within the first page or two of the second volume, it turns into just another shallow harem manga that you'd probably read a few chapters of and drop.

Volume one gets an 8.5/10 in my eyes. A well-written romance with a surprisingly well-thought-out story. Which is the only reason this review is labelled as mixed feelings. Volume two gets a 4/10 — not worth your time. If you want to read this, I'd recommend just reading up to chapter 28 and then treating that like the end. It's an abrupt end, but it's more of an ending than a trashy harem manga will ever give you.
