the writers/animators must've feared how pretty they made the MMC so they made him a chair or not present for 97% of the movie yet the FMC somehow falls in love with him... i don't get it. also him being a chair for almost the whole movie absolutely Blew me. there was so much opportunity i feel was missed. there could've been actual chemistry if he... wasn't a chair... the entire time.
the cat was a lame excuse of an antagonist. you can't somehow make him a good guy when he didn't do anything to suggest he was trying to do good. he was antagonizing just because, then suddenly had redemption... like huh??
also, suzume suddenly being this fearless, heroic FMC who wasn't afraid to die, but was scared of a talking cat 10 mins into the movie... ok
anyways, besides that, it was a nice watch... didn't really need to be 2 hours but i digress. very pretty and the
cinematography was really good at some parts. decent story, could've been better
