Despite being an extremely common anime genre and always having an out-of-the-ordinary protagonist, I can say that Shadow Garden completely exceeded my expectations. Although every season always launches an anime in this style, Cid Kagenou's personality in wanting to be a background character becomes his difference from the other isekais. This absurd power along with his personality act very well together, with a dose of comedy that matches the story perfectly.
But it's not just this comedy about Cid, Shadow too, he's a kind of Ainz (Overlord), but wanting to be a background character, he always ends up doing the right thing unintentionally, without having the slightest idea of what's happening to him. around.
Despite this exchange of comedy and seriousness, I can say that Shadow Garden also brings an important lesson, I say this in relation to the Cult of Diabolos. Some characters that Cid faced kind of show that his lack of power made him turn to the cult, as they couldn't face them. When they see Shadow's immense strength, these conversations that if they had the same strength as him they would not perish in the darkness or protect what they love, show another side of the story.
In fact, in some moments Shadow says "I will give them power so that in the deepest darkness they can maintain their convictions, this is sensational. Characters with a beautiful design, an incredible soundtrack, fights despite not being the focus, are good, mainly the finals.
In short, Shadow Garden manages to be incredible even with a story that repeats itself every season.
