It is really a breathe of fresh air just as the whole plot of the story elaborates. Breaking out of toxic, mundane life doing whatever your heart desires. Unlike usual Zombie apocalypse it took a generic shounen approach to it. MC Akira is having his time of life in a situation where everyone else would be struggling, most probably dying and he is very much blind to it. This seems very out of place or rather distant to reality but it is also where the fun lies. Him and his friends travel around and have fun in midst of millions of people dying(becoming zombie). They don't have any plans to save people or to stop the apocalypse but rather just want to fulfill their individual desires or so to say bucket list and have fun, making out best of a shitty situation. It is not you generic Zombie thriller gore anime but your generic zombie shounen anime. Anyways it is a fun watch.
