This whole part feels more like the "quiet before the storm" part of practically every show in existence.
The whole premise of it is Rudeus fighting with his depression and Erectile Dysfunction caused by being dumped by Eris.
Lets start with the Ranoa Arc,the first ep was great but it also set really high bar of expectations which the following 3 eps unfortunately didn't meet,especially the second episode where i got flashback form first season of SAO and its bullshit time skips.The one thing is happening and then cut and boom completely diffrent setting with diffrent characters...NO,this is not how you make good episodes.Overall Ranoa Arc is bad,confusing and sometimes even boring.
Then we start proper anime with University Of Magic Arc and episode 5 and tbh this can be considered 1 ep for all i care.It starts off great but it also is a slow burn which i am not a big fan of.The characters it indroduces are interesting, it also reintroduces some of characters we already know and among them is SHE,the most important characher of this anime,the one who saved this "season" in my opinion.
SYLPHIE IS BACK BITCHEZ.With Rudeus being shell of his former self and the rest of characters being at most "fine" she is the lifeblood of this "season",And the last 3 eps are pure gold.
