The chemistry is just so gooddd because of their character dynamic! In comparison to a lot similar manga’s, Hotaru no yomeiri is well written, blended and balanced in the historical/romance/action genre (the art is beautifully detailed and easy to follow!). Each chapter leaves you wanting more every time! (in it for the ride!) The plot is not entirely predictable, the side characters are interesting and are important to the plot/mc’s growth (emotionally also), how they react to different situations is so fun and exciting!
I love satoko!! officially one of my fave characters in fiction! she’s beautiful, elegant, independent, strong, smart, kind and thoughtful. After everything she’s been through she remains true to herself and what she wants while also being open minded. I love the direction Oreko is taking her (especially with the first chapter). Shinpei is also a very interesting character/love interest, (I mean who doesn’t love a psycho lover) also love how he’s the opposite of satoko so their interactions are always a joy!
You may say it’s too early to say anything for sure but with what’s being established already I see a good future for this series. Deserves all the hype for sure!
