But I had to write this just to say that this anime... well, to put it this way, if you haven't read the light novels, you'll be lost and confused. In addition, there's a decent amount of wasted potential. The end of the first episode hints at a battle that is never covered in extensive detail in the second volume (it's actually skipped over), and how the OVA is resolved in the end is somewhat underwhelming.
Also do not fooled by the runtime of certain episodes. At least three to five minutes of each episode is dedicated to the ED. It's a nice ED song, but it is unique for the fact that the ED is an entire song's length. It will have a different montage for each ED but it's a different beast from the anime, as the ED employs all live-action footage that is mostly unrelated to the anime at large.
The concept is nice and the premise is intriguing, but there might be a reason why it was never licensed and why it never got a DVD release at all.
