The story was interesting as they went through high school with their friends. Throughout the whole story there was just enough romance to keep me interested and fangirl-ing over the lovey dovey side but often made me laugh throughout the anime. However the story at times frustrated me as it was slow paced and was on and off with the romance. The plot was interesting as well as the concept of a tall girl and short boy!

The art could have been better in this anime but it was unique as the female protagonist was not a bishoujo (in my opinion anyway). I however found the scenery rather intriguing especially the fireworks that was a very memorable part. I believe the art was made to be funny as throughout the anime the expression of each character was very dramatic and really made me laugh. This is only a personal opinion but I would have rather the characters be better looking but that may only be my fangirl side.

The opening and ending theme was catchy but not really my style. The voices of each character was distinctive and at times hilarious! The sound matched with their dramatic expressions was really interesting to watch during this anime. The small background music was good and was rather fitting towards the situation nothing unnecessary!

This is one of the reasons why i absolutely loved this anime! Each character was different and had their own little perks! I loved the concept of a small boy and a tall girl it was really adorable to watch! Otani and Koizumi were both strong characters and the way they interacted with other characters caused a laugh every time! Following their adventures made me want to cheer them on!

Every episode caused me to laugh I think I even cried laughing! Even when I re-watched this anime I still laughed even though I saw everything coming! I enjoy my comedy a lot but sometimes I needed to see the romance (as you do as a teenage girl) and the anime delivered! At times my heart ached for the characters!

If you love comedy with a dash of romance you will love this anime! If you're sick of all the cliche romance animes this is definitely for you. It's pretty unpredictable. The concept is interesting and unique so if you're looking for something different but still following the genres of a romantic comedy! WATCH LOVELY COMPLEX! (3 TIMES OVER!!!!)
