Well in my opinion the way story progressed it was for the best.
As in reality forever friendship between a man and female cannot exist. As there's no man on earth who would like his woman to be in a close relationship with another man unless he's her blood brother. In short a woman needs to be reserved.
So, that being the case i liked her choice. And it wasn't like she played with anyone, her feelings was transparent. She even made it clear to the side hero. Even though if someone does anything stupid, we can never blame her for that.
Also in this series all 3 MC's sacrificed themselves (their lives) for their loved one. So, how can we say that the last sacrifice was greater than all other that happened before??
Hypothetically, if we reverse the choice she made in the end. That she choses not to came on earth, and stayed where she was. No tragedy happened. Now would that not mean she changed her hero right before the ending?
If that happened how many of us would have liked that ending?
So, my end line is ending was fine according to the story, also the story itself was great. I also don't have any problems with the characters.
