That's the type of character that I like, although I saw other comments that the MC is some crap that says he wants to live an ordinary life but shows his strength. So what's wrong? I don't think so, what's wrong with showing strength to the enemy to protect his comrades? Precisely the character that I don't like is that he has power and is able to save her but he doesn't do it it's a Naive character that I hate.
Unlike other anime where the MC thinks too much about acting or because he feels constrained by the past he gets confused and wastes a lot of time on it, here the MC acts fast no matter what happens and there isn't much debate, the important thing is he does what he should do even though it has its own risks
Additional review, after rewatching it for the 3rd time, there are some points that I find boring and uninteresting.
First the storyline is about Amyu, here they are both trapped but the problem is resolved too quickly, not only that, the MC spends a whole school year without many performances.
The second drawback is the NPCs, as we know schools are places with lots of NPCs, but most of them seem to be non-existent and only appear a few times.
Third, the past of the fake hero, this part is also quite boring, I think it's better to show the MC's past than to show an unimportant past.
Fourth, the maids recruited into the Harem, this part is probably the most annoying, so interested in the maid? To the point of trying various ways to get her? A typical prince who is too stupid, even after he knows he has been lied to, he still does other stupid things like fighting Seika who clearly has great power.
