The art is a kind on its own, but i will say that not everyone will find that it's to their own taste. The art is simple and clear, bringing forth the necessary expressions when needed. Furthermore since this storyline is very slice of life based, complicated animation may not be needed, so I feel that it is something that can be overlooked.
One thing I not so satisfied is the way they chose to voice the not-so-important male and female characters with a weird voice (sounds like woman/man), and they are reusing it quite a lot of times. The background music is simple and short but I find it lacking it variety. Of course the seiyuus for the main characters are really great though.
The characters of Lucky Star each have a unique personality that depicts not only the Otaku society but also normal high school girls. It is fun as the series proceeds and you get to see more and more characters, all varying in personality. Some are dorky enough to get you laughing.
This is definitely a recommended anime for Otakus. All you need to do is sit back and relax and have a good laugh at the jokes the characters crack and the conversations going on in their daily school life. However, some of the content of the jokes requires knowledge on some anime or lifestyle of an Otaku. It involves specific terms sometimes that are hard to understand.
The rewatch value for this anime can be rated really high because the more you watch it, the funnier it gets as you understand the content fully.
