I do not think I will write much because I lost almost all of my brain cells while reading this, but I hope that this review is going to be helpful to you in some way.
The first few chapters are pretty enjoyable. We meet the protagonists, we understand more about their relationship, and we see them slowly falling in love with each other. Well, nothing new, but despite the clichés it was interesting reading it. Unfortunately, at the end of chapter 4, everything started changing; the plot and the characters became more and more annoying and stupid. I will not say much about the plot because I do not want to give you too many spoilers, but I would like to write a few things about the characters.
- Male lead: He is the classic cool and popular boy that everyone likes. His childhood was super strange (his sister loved to make him wear girly clothes and accessories even though he hated it), but there are not many other intriguing things about him.
- Female lead: She is the classic cute, shy, stupid, and extremely short girl that discovers for the first time what love is and gets depressed over it. She is the kind of girl who cries like she never did before when she sees Male lead-kun kissing his girlfriend. Yeah, not a random girl; his girlfriend. And she had known for a long time that he had one. Anyway: at first, she is a good character, but after a while, she becomes so annoying and her stupidity becomes too much to handle.
- Guy 1 who likes the female lead: he is kind and not too stupid, but he disappeared completely after a few chapters of drama (and he probably found a new girlfriend almost immediately). He is useful only for a few seconds because, thanks to him, the female lead overcomes (more or less) a “trauma" she had, but it would have been the same if he did not exist.
- Guy 2 who “likes” the female lead: he was crazy. He annoyed me so much! If I were there, I would have killed him for sure. Damn, it was almost entirely his fault that my poor, innocent brain cells died. He has something like four girlfriends, and, at a certain point, he gets obsessed with the female lead. He kisses her at random every single time they meet, he forces her to become his “fake” (?) girlfriend so that she would have been able to get over her first love, and when the female lead wants to break up with him, he does not want to let her go (even though I did not completely understand why the girl needed his consent to break up… I mean, he has so many girlfriends and they do not even love each other so why?!). I cringed so hard every single time this character showed up. Maybe the description I gave you does not say much, but trust me: if you are going to read this, you will understand.
- Female lead’s best friend: she is the only reason why my brain did not die completely. She saved my life, really. She is literally the only character in this manga who is not annoying and stupid (I mean, sometimes she is, but she is a goddess if we compare her to the others). Moreover, she is the only human being in this story’s universe who does not like “Guy 2” and the only one who finds him suspicious. Right, because all of the other characters think that “Guy 2” is making the female lead happy and that when they fight, they are so cute.
I apologize, I eventually wrote so much about this, but these characters destroyed me, and I felt like I had to make you understand my pain.
Do I suggest you read this manga? It depends on what you are looking for. If you would like to read a cute, peaceful, simple, short manga, then this is not for you; but if you are trying to find a crazy manga and if you like reading shoujo with stupid and annoying characters because you are a masochist like me and you find it super fun to insult them every time as I did, then you absolutely have to read this. Even if I was slowly starting to think of throwing myself out of the window, I could not stop reading.
