Tomo Chan took unrequited love tropes and found ways to keep it fresh, which is hard to do. The anime is a comedy and is consistent in its comedic timing. Its more Com than Rom which keeps it from being mushy and repetitive, but the on thr nose love story flourishes. The title says it all and drive the point home by the end. All of the supporting characters (especially Carol) really do the heavy lifting which was pulled off better than I'm used to seeing. I love the fact that you can randomly pause and get juicy well animated stills and frames. The season finale drives the subject and theme home and capped the series off marvelously with its character growth and plot progression. Accompanied by one of the best dubs I've ever heard not to mention having arguably 2 of the best girls of the season. Tomo is an easy sell to any Rom -Com anime fan.
