Story 10/10 : The story itself revolves around Rakugo; a Japanese comedic storytelling and the closest instance I would say to it in the present would be Stand up; although Rakugo in my opinion seems much more reserved, much more serious and something needs constant practice and involvement. The start of the anime seemed to be an ordinary anime through after a few minutes into it the story starts becoming complex and interesting. The Rakugo that is performed in the anime takes a huge portion of the story and it might get boring and monotonous. However, it was a new experience and a good way to understand a speck of the Japanese culture and also the Rakugo shown in the anime had so much good stories which will actually leave one laughing.
Music 10/10: The music in the anime sounded understandably traditional as it should have been. The opening and ending somewhat gave out the feels of the story.
Characters 10/10: The characters at the beginning and the end of anime displayed so much difference. Kikuhiko who seemed upright and reserved with no regrets seemed to be showing his emotions openly and Yotaro and Konatsu showed somewhat difference towards the end of the story. Also hands down the voice actors were perfect in every way possible.
Art 10/10: I may not be lying if I mention that the art style was the reason I started watching the anime. Although it is not extraordinary as per one may expect, it had a touch of an amazing style which will keep you glued to the screen.
Overall 10/10: The story revolved so much around the past, the story of Kikuhiko, Sukeroku and people around them which understandably plays a major role in building the story though at some point it may feel boring or sort of repetitive. However, this anime has been one of the best as it was said at the beginning and easily makes the favorites list due to it being a different anime with an interesting plot.
