I agree with everyone who said this is a classic.
The plot of the 1st season is really predictable and kinda repetitive (how could it not be, with the whole capturing-one-card-an-episode), but if you bear with it, great things come in the end of the 2nd season. The entire 3rd season was enough to make me rate the anime a point above what I'd usually intended.
The art is actually pretty good for the time it was created. The cards look awesome, and the characters are all adorable. The music gets kind of repetitive at times, but it's great in the more emotional scenes.
The characters were the best part of the anime, and, to be honest, they were the whole reason why I sticked with it through the entire 70 episodes. I really wanted to know more about their relationships (notably Yukito and Touya's) because they were just so interesting. If that's what you enjoy most, too, don't give up - the 3rd season will make it all worth it. Everything starts developing at that point, and not a moment too late.
Overall, this was a really good series, one I recommend even if you prefer newer anime.
