The story doesn't make any sense, and there's no effort to explain what is happening. You just watch events happen that seemingly correlate to nothing else in the story. Do not watch this if you have any interest in the story.
The soundtrack in this film surpasses every expectation you could ever have. The soundtrack is written by Joe Hisaishi, and orchestrated. Fits most of the scenes quite well.
The animation held up quite well. It doesn't look modern, but it was well-animated and looked quite nice. There were some inconsistencies in the animation, but I believe it could've had to do more with the storyline than neglect in the animation.
Overall, not worth the watch. If you care at all about a story in the film, do not waste your time. If you're watching solely for animation and soundtrack, I suppose it could be worth a watch.
